The Four Basic Skin Types… do you know which one fits you best? 🤔 NORMAL, or as I like to call it, BALANCED - is where your skin contains a good balance of sebum and moisturizing factors. DRY - is where your skin has a lower than usual production of sebum (the oily substance your skin naturally produces). It may also lack natural moisturizing factors. OILY - is where your skin is prone to an excessive amount of sebum production. It makes your skin look ‘shiny’. COMBINATION - is a mixture of skin types, and the most common! Typically, your skin presents an oilier T-zone (forehead and nose) and dehydrated cheeks. It’s taken me a while to fully figure out which skin type category I fall under, but I hope these definitions help you like they helped me. If you’re curious, I fall under the COMBINATION type with a very oily T-zone and balanced to dry cheeks.
